Job Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Senior Marketing Manager is charged with the development and execution of business plans for for one or more complex businesses and delivering the financial and marketplace goals set by the Director of Marketing or higher level executives. Responsible for creating the product, distribution, promotional, and pricing strategies to enable Sales to deliver the revenue and volume plan.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Drive profitable sales growth by developing and implementing market strategies & initiatives including but not limited to advertising, POS, packaging, innovation, promotions, coupons

Daily management of pricing, promotion, supply/demand, and inventory issues

Analysis of financial & market share results and associated action plans

Forecast preparation and review

Train, coach, and lead assistant marketing manager



Qualifications

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in related field & MBA 

Minimum 10 years of demonstrated analytical and marketing experience in a CPG environment

Strong grasp of CPG and brand management fundamentals

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Syndicated Data Tools, ERP Software

Excellent presentation skills with both large and small audiences

Demonstrated ability to understand ramifications of business unit decision to other components of the company.

Highly proficient at managing complex projects

Proven track record of success with increasing levels of responsibility.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing

7+ year track record of increasing responsibility in like business or product line.

Ability to move up or cross functionally within the organization.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to travel 

Ability to obtain valid CA Drivers License & obtain reliable transportation for business travel

Consistent and reliable attendance

Ability to work in fast paced, high pressure situations
