Job Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Plan, develop, implement and administer all programs to support: Affirmative Action Programs and related programs with all related federal, state and local EEO requirements including Executive Order 11246, Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act. Conduct and assist in training Human Resources and Line Management in all necessary related matters.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

  1. Annually, compile all annual Affirmative Action Plans (~20). Complete/close out each year generating results, recommendations and action plans. Produce semi-annual progress updates.
  2. Analyze, recommend and implement/modify plans for compliance with VEVRAA and Section 503
  3. At corporate level, develop, and manage outreach efforts for all targeted groups. Report progress, recommend change.
  4. Communicate with Field Human Resources and line management with reports and progress updates; train line management in coordination with Field HR
  5. First point of contact responding to audits and inquiries

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Keep abreast of changes in laws
  2. Evaluate best methods for tracking and reporting.

Qualifications

requirements:

  1. BS/BA degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, Statistics, or other related field
  2. Minimum 2 years’ experience in Human Resources, and/or administering AAP’s
  3. Technical knowledge and skills sufficient to develop, use, and modify AAP databases
  4. Demonstrated experience analyzing complex problems and identifying alternative actions and solutions
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience writing AAP Action plans preferred
  6. Demonstrated experience dealing with confidential/protected information
  7. Excellent computer skills/ experience with: HRIS, Excel, Word
  8.  Project management capability, strong organizational skills, ability to establish and meet timelines
  9. Ability to travel
