Job Description

Purpose of position:

The Foodservice Sales Representative will be responsible for the development and sales of Foster Farms produced products within a defined geographic location. This position will be responsible for growing sales, developing and maintaining customer relationships, working with Distributor Sales Reps to call and sell key accounts.  The position will cross industry segments and product categories to sell Foster Farms produced products.  This position will be required to follow any other job related instructions and perform any other job functions and duties as assigned by supervisor.

EssentialJob Functions:

1. Sell Operator Accounts (all segments) independent of Foster Farms Sales Personnel or Distributor Sales Reps

2. Work with Distributor Sales Reps in assigned areas that reach key critical customers

3. Plan and prepare weekly sales calls, sample prep, appointment setting, C4C detail

4. Assist Regional Sales Manager/Area Sales Manager with customer facing activities and sales functions such as cuttings, market blitzes etc as assigned by Regional Sales Manager

5. Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and shows at the distributor level

Additional Functions:

1. This position is expected to develop customer relationships to sell product in support of Foster Farms priorities. Utilize operator contacts, Distributor Sales Reps customer relationships and industry contacts in order to be successful in role.

2. Will effectively utilize internal tools provided (SDS, C4C, Interflex, BA, etc.) which will be critical to the success of the individual in this position

Qualifications

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’sDegree in Business Administration or related field

2. Must have one-two years sales experience in the Foodservice Industry

3. Will develop or have prior knowledge of, the supply chain flow in the foodservice industry to effectively sell Foster Farms products through distribution to the operator customers.

4. Must have computer/software knowledge and maintain accurate and timely information within CRM

5. Must be comfortable speaking in public and be willing and able to handle confrontation and objections.

6. Strong oral and written communications skills

7.  Ability to identify, plan, organize and execute selling activity at the Foodservice operator level to achieve growth and profit objectives

8. Must have reliable transportation and have the ability to obtain valid OR Drivers License and reliable transportation for business travelt

9. Ability to travel overnight if required

10. Consistent,reliable attendance and the ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment

11. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds periodically
