Purpose of position:
Supervise distribution staff and oversee proper payment of external and internal freight bills. Oversee backhaul tracking and billing. Responsible for entire close process relating to distribution and related entries and prepare periodic and ad hoc reporting and periodic review and submission of AAW’s. Review, maintain and implement internal controls, policies and procedures to improve and standardize the distribution process.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Complete timely and accurate closing of the distribution GL and accurate management reporting
2. Will do variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
3. Review and approve periodic AAW’s for distribution balance sheet accounts.
4. Will maintain, review, recommend and implement distribution policies and procedures.
5. Completion of ad hoc distribution cost requests.
6. Tracking and reporting of operational cost savings initiatives.
7. Supervision of staff
8. Internal cost and control auditing of operational areas as assigned

Additional Functions:
1. Special projects as assigned by Logistics Controller.
2. Capital/Distribution Budgeting

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
2. Three-five years related work experience.
3. Proficiency in Excel, SAP, and BW preferred.
4. Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
5. Detail oriented with a strong analytical ability
6. Must be self-motivated, assertive, objective, and resourceful.
7. Ability to work within strict time frames in order to meet deadlines and the ability to work independently with a high degree of organization and prioritization skills
