Job Description
Purpose of position:
To capture cost and performance data for foster farms turkey candidate/breeder and hatchery management. Track performance data and costs on a weekly basis. Period close responsibilities include preparation of journal entries and account analysis worksheets. Period end reporting includes cost center reporting (dollars), closed flock reporting (dollars & performance) hatchery fertility reports as well as hatch percentages. Period reports are reviewed by the operations group and analyzed with clerk v assistance to explain variances. Prepare, provide and analyze Agri Stat information for foster farms candidate/breeder and hatchery operations. Prepare foster farms turkey live operations budget. Track outside poult sales and services (custom hatching of eggs).
Essential job functions:
Responsible for turkey hatchery period close – JE, AAW and reporting
Responsible for turkey candidate/breeder period close – JE, AAW and reporting
Prepare, provide and analyze turkey live Agri Stats
Complete Ad hoc candidate, breeder, hatchery analysis
Prepare candidate/breeder annual budgets.
Responsible for weekly pullet/breeder estimate and reporting
Responsible for weekly hatchery estimate and reporting
Responsible for processing breeder contract grower settlements
Qualifications
Requirements:
High School graduate and some college accounting classes strongly preferred.
Three or more years of Accounting experience with a demonstrated ability with data analysis
Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong PC skills – Strong Computer Skills – SAP, Mtech, BW, Excel, Windows, Word, Outlook
Able to work independently and work with all levels of management and must have a high degree of organization and prioritization skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills and be self motivating and resourceful
