Job Description
Purpose of position:
Manage all accounting processes for the Pacific Northwest Operations. Interacts with and provides management with timely and accurate financial and production information and analysis in a manner that facilitates sound business decisions. This position will be responsible for over-site, tracking, reporting, and analysis of operating and overhead costs, spending, and production.
Essential job functions:
Oversee and direct activities of Plant and Live accounting personnel and supervise staff of six, including three professional accountants and three clerical staff
Drive Pacific Northwest initiatives and actively participate in Plant and Live operations business decisions and implement strategies and financial mechanics
Execute financial projects for PNW and manage weekly, period, quarterly, and annual close process
Coordinate and review financial and operating statements and present to management when required
Prepare annual budgets and forecasts, and monitor variances and assure resolution of inconsistent financial information
Develop accounting policies and procedures to safeguard company assets
Train and develop accounting personnel
Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Five-ten years work experience and five plus years of supervisory experience
Must have previous experience in the direction of accounting practices and analysis at a production/manufacturing facility
Strong cost accounting background and strong interpersonal communication skills
Sharp Analytical skills and overall computer skills, - Microsoft excel and spreadsheets, etc.
Leadership and self-confidence to operate in autonomous position for accounting compliance
