GATR Technologies has an immediate opening for an Electrical Engineer with the following credentials and experience:

• Minimum of 10 years hardware design experience
• Tracking antenna design and test or equivalent experience in electromechanical systems
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Job Summary:   Hardware design engineer with experience in brushless motor control and analog circuit design.  Responsible for full antenna motion controller development including electromechanical systems, requirements generation, motor and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) integration, system feedback control modeling, system integration, and system testing.  Additional experience with analog circuit design, layout, and test is required.    

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop algorithms for antenna motion control, stabilization, and tracking
• Develop electromechanical system models to generate motion controller system requirements
• Manage cost, schedule, and deliverables on antenna steering and tracking subassemblies
• Design analog and digital circuits required for motor control
• Generate schematics and wiring diagrams for antenna motion control systems

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong knowledge in signals and control systems required
• Experience with brushless motors required
• Experience integrating PLC’s in electromechanical systems
• Excellent with Matlab
• Analog Circuit design and layout with OrCAD Cadence preferred
• Power supply design experience preferred
• Strong technical writing skills
• Willingness to work within the Agile development cycle
• Ability to work in an open, collaborative team atmosphere
