Job Description

GATR Technologies has an immediate opening for a ProductionTechnician with the following credentials and experience:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent, associate’s degree preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience in composite structures preferred

 

Job Summary:  Work as part of a team to produce individual components making up the GATR inflatable satellite system, with primary responsibilities in composite structures

Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities:  Production Technicians may be trained to perform any or all of the following:

  • Fabricate composite structures
  • Build and assemble components from detailed engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions
  • Route, wire, assemble, and install electrical and electronic components
  • Perform precision fabric assembly and integration
  • Conduct antenna system functional testing
  • Document antenna system performance

All Production personnel are expected to:

  • Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and within standard times with minimum supervision
  • Identify and report non-conforming components both in writing and verbally to supervisor
  • Maintain production facility to incorporate ISO standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be willing to follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner
  • Must possess a mechanical aptitude
  • Must be a self-starter with a strong focus on quality, details, and results
  • Must be able to use a personal computer
  • Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team

 

Special Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
  • Must have the physical flexibility to kneel, squat, and bend
  • Must have the manual dexterity to perform precision fabric assembly and integration tasks
  • Must be able to work weekends, off-shifts, and overtime, as required.
