GATR Technologies has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Designer with the following credentials and experience:

-    Minimum 2 years Mechanical CAD design/drafting or engineering experience
-    Associates degree in Mechanical Design, Drafting, or equivalent combination of education and experience
-    Strong 3D solid modeling and drafting experience, SolidWorks experience preferred
-    Familiarity with ANSI/ASME Y14 drafting standards

Job Summary:   Performs mechanical design assignments with clear and specified objectives. Prepares detailed drawings of mechanical or electrical parts, components, and assemblies for engineering, manufacturing, or repair purposes using CAD equipment.  Assignments require the investigation of a limited number of variables and supervisory assistance is provided on unusual problems. Work is reviewed for the application of sound professional judgment. 

Duties and Responsibilities:
-    Generate/update GATR component and assembly drawings
-    Generate/update GATR assembly drawing trees
-    Generate new product drawings/documentation
-    Provide design studies
-    Initiate and execute Engineering Change Requests
-    Work with GATR product line and generate concepts for component improvement

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-    Proficient in 3-D solid modeling and drafting
-    Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience assembling components and working with fasteners, structures, electronics packaging, etc.
-    Familiar with sheet metal, CNC, injection molding, and cast parts fabrication
-    Excellent written and verbal communications skills
-    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
-    Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with some supervision
