GATR Technologies has an immediate opening for a Program Specialist with the following credentials and experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field and 5 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Project Management Professional certification preferred
• US Citizenship required
Job Summary: GATR is looking for a Program Specialist to assist in the technical management of hardware development projects. This Program Specialist will report to the Director of Engineering. The position requires someone capable of coordinating technical activities on assigned projects such as planning, scheduling, action item tracking and report writing; monitoring work for compliance to contract requirements (CDRLS); and ensuring effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between multiple engineering disciplines and other departments. Work at GATR Technologies is fast-paced and requires the Program Specialist to multi-task and be a problem solver to provide workable solutions to keep projects on schedule.
Qualifications
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Participate in planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of select programs
• Operate as liaison between Engineering management and other GATR divisions to generate and maintain new product launch and delivery schedules
• Utilize Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, and other project management techniques to gauge progress and facilitate focus and intervention in critical areas
• Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending action
• Update monthly revenue projections for new R&D programs
• Track action items from product launch and engineering program meetings
• Manage product development documentation for multiple projects
• Prepare written and verbal reports to management to identify cost and schedule variances
• Aid in concept development and proposal writing
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• History of working in a hardware development and manufacturing environment
• Full command of Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
• Basic understanding of Cost Plus Fixed Fee, Time and Material, and Firm Fixed Price contracts
• Capable of interacting with program managers, division managers, senior management, and other key functional/support organizations
• Strong technical writing skills
• Strong visual presentation skills
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills and ability to balance and prioritize work
