Job Description

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Follow all procedures and SOP’s for the Warehouse and the Production areas regarding movement of product from the production floor to the warehouse and into customer trucks.

Shift: 5 Days a Week

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  • Be aware of hazardous materials in the area and the proper handling of hazardous materials. Awareness will be achieved through training, MSDS review, safety meetings, and toolbox meetings.

  • Be aware of, understand, and follow emergency procedures.

  • Report all spills or other environmental incidents following EHS protocol.

  • Work in such a manner as to prevent environmental incidents and if asked, to participate in investigations of environmental incidents.

  • Enter data and provide paperwork required to maintain an efficient warehousing system.

  • Minimize waste and prevent pollution to protect the environment.

  • Perform inventories of raw materials and production products.

  • Follow all procedures concerning and the unloading of railcars, and loading and unloading of trailers.

  • Perform all aspects and duties of a Warehouse Attendant as needed or assigned.

  • Stretch wrap and stack all products in the warehouse in the correct manner and without damage.

  • Perform duties in an efficient manner without damage to company equipment and furnishings.

  • Schedule inbound and outbound freight in the absence of the supervisor.

  • Constantly monitor & provide standard housekeeping duties - Keep work area clean.

  • Perform assignments according to standards-stay in assigned work area.

  • Follow work instructions and provide/receive constructive feedback from others.

  • Use spare time and clean up time constructively to keep the warehouse and equipment in good condition.

  • Promote teamwork with all other employees and departments.

  • Follow all food safety guidelines while on the manufacturing floor.

  • Report any deviation from food safety protocol to the functional responsible personnel.

  • Ensure that (where applicable) the supply chain is made aware of their food safety obligations as our partner in the quest to deliver a safe product to the consuming public.

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prefer HS Diploma or GED certification; prefer previous experience in warehousing systems, fork truck driving, inventory management, and data entry; knowledge of the production process is a plus.

  • Locate and find information on an electronic data base of controlled documents, procedures, training, etc.; ability to focus on details for long periods of time; internal and external customer service is required

  • Teamwork, positive communication with others, and team problem solving are required.  Written communication must follow CSI standards and values.  This position requires frequent verbal and written communication with all employees and management at the facility.  In some cases, the position may require communication with freight providers and truck drivers.
