Job Description

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Perform & monitor all gauging & functional/dimensional checks to ensure we are manufacturing products within quality specifications per quality manual & alerts.  This position monitors and audit Standard Operating Procedures in the area of Quality SOP’s, operating and containment procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines to ensure execution of SOP’s and notify Help Chain when upset conditions arise or product does not meet quality standards.  Audits manufacturing processes through checks of product in molding, scoring, lining and printing.  Auditing, documenting such as findings, including the above and in addition to defects and defect levels, electronic gages, and problem solving issues.  Will include operations of pull test fixtures in the lab, video microscope and analytical balance, input of data, making of charts and simple analysis.  Enter data into future SQC & react to anything out of spec.  Operate all
gauges, understand lower & upper tolerance levels, how to read job sheets, fill out pertinent paperwork, verify all raw materials.  Quality sampling, perform within standardized work.  Follow all GMP rules & all
FSSC food safety requirements.

  • Must demonstrate above average communication skills.

  • Possesses a high attention span and ability to focus on finding defects.

  • Utilizes excellent decision-making and follow-up techniques. 

  • Lead by example supporting company values and OPEX principles.

  • Consult the Help Chain with quality issues.

  • Demonstrate a high level of safety & housekeeping standards for self and others.

  • Maintain and drive good 5S practices.

  • Perform daily housekeeping duties and audits.

  • Communicate with other auditors/technicians/Supervisor in your area at shift change.

  • Self-motivated; pulls Help Chain as needed to keep the process flowing.

  • Able to train others, operate entry level packing & assemblies or liners.

  • Ensure that (where applicable) the supply chain is made aware of their food safety obligations as our partner in the quest to deliver a safe product to the consuming public.

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED is required. 

  • Experience with and is familiar with the inspecting process and quality standards, preferred. 

  • Must have above average communication skills. 

  • Must have a high attention span.

  • Must have decision-making abilities and follow-up techniques. 

  • Knowledge of CSI safety & Quality process-must follow all quality and safety requirements & report upset conditions to Supervisor or Quality team, helpful.

  • Must receive passing status on all pre-employment testing. 

  • Ability to identify all quality defects associated with a specific profile being produced. 

  • Must pass a defect training course and pass test with 90% or greater score on an annual basis; refresher training may be required.  2-5 years of manufacturing experience, preferred.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a high-paced, high-volume environment. 

  • Complete required paperwork & training in a timely manner.
