Job Description

ShopLocal, a division of Gannet Digital Ventures, has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Sales Executive who enjoys being an individual contributor in a fast growing organization. ShopLocal is looking for a sales professional to grow, service, and cultivate existing retailer relationships while pursuing new revenue opportunities outside of the current client base. This person will be responsible for selling ShopLocal's entire suite of digital solutions across a multi-state territory including tier one existing accounts and named target accounts. This individual will have extensive experience in digital solution sales and act as a consultant to our existing client base.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Manage, maintain,  and build strong relationships within the current client base
  • Drive, develop, and identify new account opportunities for ShopLocal
  • Partner and establish close working relationships with client agencies
  • Experience prospecting and lead generation with C-Suite executives such as; Marketing Director, Vice President, Senior Vice President, and overall decision makers
  • Effectively communicate and present ShopLocal's value proposition and solutions
  • Understand the competitive landscape and differentiate ShopLocal's solutions
  • Act as a consultant and assess the business to understand client's and prospect's marketing objectives and strategy to apply ShopLocal's solutions accordingly
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date revenue forecasts and pipeline reports
  • Execute strong pipeline management
  • Outstanding contract negotiation and closing skills required
  • Execute agreements and renewals on behalf of ShopLocal

 

Qualifications

 

  • 10+ years of extensiveB2B digital solution sales
  • Experience selling; Online Circular Content, Banner Ads, Display Ads, Mobile Ads, Video Content, Local Search, Facebook (Social Commerce), 
  • Strong presentation skills required
  • Marketing to C Level Executives
  •  Computer savvy with MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook,
  • Salesforce.com or equivalent CRM

  • Must have strong time management skills
  • Must have dedicated customer service skills in order to assist and support clients
  • Meet quarterly and annual forecasting goals in order to meet or exceed revenue quotes
  • Thorough understanding of online retail industry trends, challenges & direction
