Job Description

Manages and coordinates sales operations to ensure the attainment of established sales objectives in all targeted markets. 

1.     Develops and implements strategies and tactics to maximize market growth penetration in targeted markets.

2.     Continually gathers and monitors information on competition and market trends; communicates information to sales team and others as needed.

3.     Manages preparation of sales proposals and tools; provides sales presentations as needed.

4.     Formulates, implements, and monitors sales goals and strategies; develops and manages all pricing and programming plans.

5.     Creates and actively manages the development of specific sales plans pertinent to specific lines of business and accounts as necessary to reach objectives, profitable growth, and market share/image enhancement.

6.     Coordinates with marketing manager, general manager, and other appropriate managers to plan, revise, and implement sales and marketing strategies.

7.     Coordinates with marketing, communications, and other appropriate departments/ managers to assist in the communications and media efforts to enhance the company’s image.

8.     Forecasts sales, monitors results, and reports on effectiveness of sales staff activities; prepares and monitors sales budget.

9.     Lead control, pricing, safety, and customer satisfaction.

10.  Prepares and monitors sales budget/forecast.

11.  Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of the medical device industry and product and sales information.

12.  Coordinates team strategic sales meetings.

13.  Provides timely and accurate reports as required.

14.  Attends and participates in business/trade events as required.

Qualifications

1.   Bachelor's degree (B. A. /B. S.) in related field or equivalent preferred.

2.   Four to six years’ experience in the pharma primary packaging industry, preferably glass.

3.   Proven leadership and business acumen skills.

4.   Well-developed negotiation, project, and account management skills.

5.   Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates.

6.   Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.

7.   Creative, flexible, and innovative team player.

8.   Commitment to excellence and high standards.

9.   Basic competence in duties and tasks of supervised employees.

10.  Ability to work with all levels of management.

11.  Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
