Job Description

The primary role of the B Operator is to keep the machines loaded at all times and complete routine checks on quality of the product. Also conducts maintenance checks, performs minor job changes on machines, and assists ‘A” operator.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Reads, comprehends, and follows written work instructions and prints

  • Loads machines and checks vials at machine for defects

  • Ability to identify and execute the appropriate mechanical adjustment on the machine to correct defects. Able to make minor fire adjustments on the machine to correct defects.  Identifies and calls for assistance as needed

  • Assist with job changes under guidance of “A” operator

  • Keeps oil in machine’s reservoirs

  • Ensures treatment station is full and functioning

  • Moves pallets of glass to line as needed & documents on logs

  • Performs hourly checks of glass/process.  Communicates with packer

  • Monitors HED gage, Infinity QS,  & manual checks to ensure process is stable and centered

  • Maintains acceptable standards of housekeeping

  • Observes all safety rules and regulations, performs job in a safe manner, and wears proper personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

  • Demonstrates behavior that meets Gerresheimer Management System (GMS) Standards

  • Prints legibly on all paperwork

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma  or Equivalent

  • Prior proven mechanical experience, work history or on-the-job training

  • Basic Computer skills

  • Ability to read and write English

  • Professional behavior interacting with customers inside and outside of facility
