Roles and Responsibilities

The Department of the Navy (DON) Consolidated Card Program Management Division (CCPMD) is responsible for management and oversight of DON financial card programs. One facet of this organization is the centralization and operation of all DON card programs.  DON CCPMD card management responsibilities include program management, daily operations, guidance & training, and continuous program improvements.

 

As a member of the CCPMD you will be tasked with providing support to the Team Lead for Purchase Card, Fuel Card, or AIR Card programs.  The Sr. Planning/Implementation Support Staff is required to provide training on the use of Government Purchase Cards to military or DON civilian employees in relation to obtaining vendor quotes, authorizing venders and rules and regulations for proper card usage.

Primary Objectives of the Sr. Planning/Implementation Support Staff

Supports the DON Government Purchase Card, Fuel Card or AIR Card, Program Team Leads for the DON Fleet Card Program and perform the following Fleet Card Tasks:

 

  • Provides customer support through phone, fax and email requests to modify account profiles, limits, card cancellations/creations, and new account set-up;
  • Assists the Team Leads with financial and transactional situations as they arise.
  • Attends and participates in meetings, video and telephone conference calls related to the Fleet Card Program;
  • Reviews all actions, as requested by the Agency Program Coordinators (APC’s) and the Defense Logistical Agency (DLA), concerning the changing of account data;
  • Works closely with APC’s located within the major Naval Commands throughout the DON to ensure content is valid and current at all times;
  • Approves/disapproves and/or recommends card usage actions as required by policy, regulation or law;
  • Coordinates with card providers and card providers systems to manage accounts;
  • Conducts and presents training and guidance to card users, APC’s, AO’s and Certifying Officers as required in accordance with DON and DOD regulations and/or policies;
  • Prepares and presenst training to Fleet Card Program participants when requested.  Training preparation may include coordination of training facilities at requested sites;
  • Monthly review, analyze and distribute periodic reports, memos, policies, procedures and guidance;
  • Provides general guidance and policy information of the usage of the Fleet Card to card holders;
  • Provides support for the annual Fleet Card Program review;
  • Assists with the annual development of new or revised metrics.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Finance or related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the financial industry; or six (6) or more years’ experience working in the financial industry;
  • Must have experience preparing and presenting training content;
  • Analytical thinker with experience monitoring financial information in a fast-paced environment where accuracy is a primary responsibility;
  • Must be comfortable with public speaking and be able to deliver training presentations;
  • Above average knowledge of Microsoft Office programs to include Excel and Access;
  • Superior communications skills, both written and verbal.
