Job Description

Do you get a rush from creating masterful content that strategically feeds buyers on their journey to discovering and purchasing technology solutions? GoodData is seeking a content marketing manager to develop engaging and persuasive content for all our properties (including website, collateral, email, blogs and social networks) that drives awareness and demand generation. The ideal candidate loves to write – we mean really, really loves to write – and knows great content should continue to evolve based on measurement and optimization.

Responsibilities

∙        You are a storyteller. Your content is dynamic, inspiring, forward thinking and sometimes provocative.   Simply put, it moves people to take action.

∙        Propose ideas and stories that map to high-level strategic brand themes, and translate them into slideshares, blog posts, infographics, data sheets, event collateral and more.

∙        Stay loyal to buyer personas through continuous research on the questions, trends and events that motivate them, and respond with content for each stage of their buying process.

∙        Be a team player. You’ll work closely all departments in the company to unearth ideas and mobilize people to produce content.

∙        Define KPIs and analyze content effectiveness by leveraging web metrics, buyer insights and feedback, content inventories, gap analyses, and competitive audits.

∙        Interview GoodData and industry experts as part of content creation process.

∙        Own the tone and voice of the company by editing for grammar, usage, consistency, accuracy and style.

∙        Be ready to produce. To stay ahead of the editorial calendar, you’ll manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain close attention to detail while meeting short deadlines.

∙        We can’t emphasize this enough: you’re a strong editor that can act as the last set of eyes on a piece of content.

Qualifications

∙        Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, journalism, English or related major.

∙        3+ years of marketing content experience, preferably in a high-velocity B2B setting.

∙        Agency experience is a plus.

∙        Solid portfolio with incredible content and measurable results is a must.

∙        Strong, emotion-invoking storytelling skills with a knack for creating content that has a good balance between thought-leadership and marketing objectives.

∙        Deep understanding of how to influence an audience using tone, messaging and delivery.

∙        Analytically inclined with a knack for understanding what data means and how to use it to continually increase the value you deliver through your content.

∙        Ability to balance, prioritize and deliver excellent results under tight deadlines.

∙        We move fast and with agility, so startup DNA is a must.

Sound like you? If you have the DNA to work in a fast moving, dynamic and exciting, well-funded startup we want to hear from you.
