We are looking for a new colleague who will define and will take responsibility for monitoring, analysis and design optimization of GoodData Platform.

Core responsibilities:

• driving definition and implementation of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for our BI Platform
• driving design & implementation of monitoring and alerting services supporting tracking and reporting on our SLAs and KPIs
• lead participation in development of the components, identification of performance bottlenecks, evaluation of overall platform architecture
• monitoring and analysis of trends and irregular behavior, prediction and capacity planning
• driving the hardware selection process with the respect to performance and cost efficiency

Requirements:

• analytical thinking and exceptional communication skills
• ability to lead and manage effective cross team communication and successful implementation of cross team initiatives
• experience with development of cloud applications and virtualization technologies (Xen, KVM, Openstack, AWS)
• experience with web application/service development or operations, relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, Vertica)
• experience with data processing (working with relational databases, flat data files, etc.)
• advanced knowledge of the English language
  

It is an advantage if you have:

• computer science degree or equivalent
• business intelligence/analytics/data warehousing experience
• hands-on experience with working in Unix/Linux environments
• experience with scripting languages (e.g. Perl, Python)
• knowledge of distributed SCM (e.g. git)
