Retail Associate

  • Full-time

Company Description

Dr. Edgar J. Helms, Jr. founded the Goodwill movement in Boston in 1902 based on one simple philosophy:  What people really want is “not charity, but a chance” to work.  His philosophy continues today in more than 200 independent Goodwill locations in North America and 23 countries.  Goodwill of Middle Georgia was founded in 1975 to create economic energy by providing job training and placement services to residents in Middle Georgia who were unemployed or underemployed. Goodwill Industries realizes the value of having a job.  Goodwill believes that work is more "caught than taught" – the results of an energized working environment where the rhythm of work is contagious. Work yields more than just economic return; working parents set an example for their children. Working teenagers develop leadership skills and commit to completing high school. Working families create financial goals for home ownership, higher educational communities, and retirement plans.
