BASICFUNCTION: 

Arranges for transportation, shipping/receiving and put away of raw materials and finished
goods within the Industrial Services Division. Keeps records and processes
paperwork in order to ensure the accuracy of inventory and storage locations.
Provides material handling support to Production Department.

Job Description

SPECIFIC DUTIES: *

  1. Arranges with carriers and customers the shipment of
    finished goods.
  2. Creates and maintains records for movement of all
    materials in and out of Industrial Services; including subcontractors.

  3. Directs unloading and receiving of raw materials,
    support materials and other goods at Industrial Services.

  4. Responsible for put away of all received materials.

  5. Plans and controls physical location of materials.

  6. Produces and maintains inventory records for raw
    materials and finished goods.

  7. Responsible for handling of waste/scrap materials within
    Industrial Services and interfacing with removal contractors.

  8. Responsible for overall orderliness and cleanliness of
    warehouse and dock area both inside and outside of building.

  9. Arranges for off-site storage when necessary and
    controls movement of storage and trailers.

  10. Responsible to operate forklift in a safe and efficient
    manner, when needed.

  11. Responsible to follow company policies and procedures
    and safety procedures.

  12. Acts as positive role model for employees,
    persons-served, and customers in all aspects of professional performance.

  13. Regular attendance is required.

  14. Other duties as assigned (non-essential).

Qualifications

SKILLS AND ABILITIES NEEDED:

  1. Must establish and maintain an effective
    working relationship with other Goodwill employees, persons served and
    customers.
  2. Must be able to read, write and
    communicate clearly in English.
  3. Must be able to effectively motivate employees under
    direct supervision.
  4. Must be able to work a flexible
    schedule on short notice, including nights, weekends and occasionally long
    hours.
  5. Ability to lift and carry objects
    weighing up to 50 lbs. frequently.
  6.  Ability to lift and carry objects
    weighing up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
  7. Must posses valid driver’s license.
  8. Ability to
    safely operate fork-lift.
  9. Ability to engage in prolonged
    standing, bending, stooping, reaching and stretching.
  10. Vision corrected to within normal limits.
  11. Ability to function in hectic work environment with occasional periods of high stress.

Additional Information

EMOTIONAL EFFORT: Moderate, occasional short deadlines requiring some overtime. Work environment occasionally hectic with occasional periods of high stress.

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE:
AT least one-year experience.
