Job Description

Goodwill's E-Commerce team is hiring! We are looking to add talented, part-time E-Commerce Associates to our team. As an E-Commerce Associate for Goodwill, you will have a chance to earn a living while supporting Goodwill's mission to help people with disabilities or disadvantages achieve their potential through work.

The ideal candidate will have experience in identifying, evaluating, and selling jewelry, as well as familiarity with online sales and shipping procedures. Ideal candidates will also be honest, trustworthy, and reliable.

Qualifications

SPECIFIC DUTIES: *

  1. Receives and sorts jewelry items from stores and initiates steps to integrate into E-Commerce Department.
  2. Assists in preparation of written description of items, if needed.
  3. Cleans and displays items on inventory shelves in storeroom.
  4. Searches other auction sites for competitive information and recommends enhancements to E-Commerce Department.
  5. Helps facilitate shipment of sold items.
  6. Safeguards company property, including donated goods. Reports any incident of theft or unauthorized possession of company property.
  7. Follows company policies and safety procedures for all undertakings.
  8. Regular attendance is required.
  9. Other duties as assigned (non-essential)

SKILLS AND ABILITIES NEEDED: **

  1. Must be able to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
  2. Must possess effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  3. Effective writing skills and good grammar.
  4. Ability necessary to access E-Commerce software, review relevant data and transfer appropriate information for product description.
  5. PC proficiency preferred.
  6. Familiarity with photography equipment helpful.
  7. Ability to interact with a variety of people.
  8. Ability to lift and or carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
  9. Ability to engage in prolonged standing and walking.
  10. Ability to engage in frequent bending, stooping, and stretching.
  11. Vision corrected to within normal range.
  12. Ability to function in hectic work environment with occasional periods of high stress.

Additional Information

Part-time position, average of 25 hours per week.
