Job Description

The Goodwill Store in Cardiff is accepting applications! We are looking to add talented Donor Services Associates to our team. As a Donor Services Associate for Goodwill, you will have a chance to earn a living while supporting Goodwill's mission to help people with disabilities or disadvantages achieve their potential through work.

We are accepting applications for The Goodwill Store in Cardiff. Applications may be submitted online and in-store (6701 Black Horse Pike, Cardiff).

Qualifications

Basic Function:

Properly accepts documents, and stacks donations at Goodwill Industries of Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia. The Donor Services Associate will also provide exceptional customer service that is FAST, FUN, and FRIENDLY.

Specific Duties:*

  • Greet public in a polite and courteous manner. This should include:

     *Service with a smile

     *Friendly exchange of words - "How can I help you?"

     *Friendly and helpful attitude

  • Accepts donations and assists donor with use of kiosk in compliance with established company procedures.
  • Maintains interior and exterior of Attended Donation Center in a neat, clean, and orderly manner.
  • Must maintain a clean, neat, personal appearance at all times. Must wear company issued uniform.
  • Follows all company policies and safety procedures.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Other non-essential duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities Needed:**

  • Must have the ability to perform exceptional customer service.
  • Must be a friendly, charismatic, people person.
  • Must maintain the ability to listen attentively and compassionately to the donors.
  • Must have and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Must establish and maintain an effective working relationship with other Goodwill employees, donors, and other members of the public.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in English.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule on short notice, including night, weekends, and occasionally long hours.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs. frequently.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to engage in prolonged standing, bending, stooping, reaching, and stretching.
  • Vision corrected to within normal limits.
  • Ability to function in a hectic work environment with occasional periods of high stress.
