Job Description

The IT technician s responsible for trouble shooting, installation, repair and maintenance of IT equipment which includes but is not limited to laptops, desktops, printers and cell phones. Travel between Goodwill locations as needed. Work flexible hours to provide support for end user, locations, project implementations and location set ups.

Essential Functions:
Provide Tier I/II technical support of hardware and software problems
Configure/Build/Repair and install desktops and laptops (must be able to lift up to 50lbs)
Provide technical support via phone, emails, and remote tools and on site visits as necessary to end-users.
Provide timely resolution for all trouble calls escalating the call depending on the severity/priority of the problem.
Crawling, stooping, bending required when installing PC’s
Responsible for configuring and deploying new PCs and laptops to users
Responsible for maintaining response and repair times within the IT departments SLA
Provide support for network and Internet connectivity
Troubleshoot and support printing issues
Perform problem analysis of hardware and software issues
Configure and install new software and hardware for desktops and laptops
Responsible for accurate documentation, ticketing and tracking of inbound technical support calls and providing accurate and professional resolution on all supported issues in a timely manner.
Responsible for technical support for all Goodwill end users.

Qualifications

A+ certification required
At least 3 years experience
Computer Science degree preferred
Cisco switch/router configuration skills a plus.
IP telephony skills a plus
Point of Sale (POS) cash register experience a plus.
CAT5e & CAT3 cabling experience a plus.
Strong customer service skills
Proven troubleshooting skills, including printing and network connectivity issues
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, customer oriented technical environment
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to work in an interruption-driven environment
Detail oriented
Self-motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
