VOCATIONAL TRAINING SPECIALIST (VTS) – Part Time

Location:  Uniontown Facility

Education:  High School diploma or equivalent

Experience:  4 years successfully working with the general public; experience with individuals with disabilities/barriers to employment preferred

Will accept an Associate’s degree in Human or Social Services; Psychology/Rehabilitation Sciences or related field with 2 years of experience as listed above or Bachelor’s degree in the same fields without experience

External Hiring Range:  $8.21-$8.97/hour                                                                           Travel Required:  No

Summary:  The Specialist will be responsible for providing job specific training, support and supervision to individuals with disabilities/barriers to employment by ensuring that individuals’ needs are met, goals are implemented and a safe environment is maintained.  Duties include, but are not limited to, providing training on proper work techniques and socialization skills; communicating client progress and providing feedback; implementing necessary educational, behavioral, and developmental supports; identifying and implementing job modifications; and providing coverage for other vocational training specialists as needed.
