Job Description

Each Generalist will provide generalist level support services to assigned locations within the Goodwill SWPA territory.  He/She will be responsible for offering assistance in Human Resources functions in the areas of recruitment, benefits, and disciplinary action, necessary for the administration of Goodwill SWPA business. This position requires excellent customer service and ensuring compliance with all external laws and regulations as well as internal guidelines and policies. There will be 3 “districts” including:  West Virginia/and South of Pittsburgh, Northwest, and City/East of Pittsburgh.  Each Generalist will be required to travel within their assigned district working heavily with all levels of retail personnel including district managers, store managers, and staff.  The individual must be able to effectively work independently, be detail oriented, possess strong MS office skills, and possess basic knowledge of HR laws and regulations. 

 

 

 

Qualifications

Education:  High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience:  6 or more years’ experience in human resource processes, applicable laws and regulations required.  Must be able to work independently.  Experience with employee recruitment process and required paperwork preferred.  Will consider an Associates degree in Business/Management or Human Resources or related field and 3 or more years’ experience as listed above.  Will also consider a Bachelors Degree and 2 or more years’ experience as listed, or a Bachelors degree in Business/Management or Human Resources related field with 1 or more years of experience.
