Get to know our Team:

The Vietnam Operations team oversees, shapes and grows the business in Grab Vietnam. We develop and execute business strategies to achieve our vision in providing everyday services that matter most to consumers in Vietnam. GrabMart is a fast-growing vertical within Grab. GrabMart focused on delivering everyday essentials to our customers via our app. As part of the Commercial team, you will play a key role in shaping the strategy, building partnerships, and driving execution to grow Grab’s presence and impact across Southeast Asia.

Get to Know the Role

We are looking for a data-driven strategist to join the GrabMart team. This role sits at the intersection of Category Management and Campaign Performance. You will not only track how our campaigns perform but actively shape what we sell and how we sell it. You will use advanced analytics to identify "winning" SKUs, analyze campaign effectiveness, and guide the onboarding of high-potential assortments to drive Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) and user conversion.

The Critical Tasks you will perform:

  • Assortment Strategy & Optimization: Analyze historical sales data and market trends to identify "Hero SKUs" and winning assortments for upcoming campaigns. Provide data-backed recommendations on which items to promote to maximize basket size.

  • Campaign Performance Analytics: Monitor real-time and post-campaign metrics (Traffic, Conversion Rate, GMV, Uplift). Perform deep-dive root cause analysis to explain why performance occurred and propose immediate operational fixes.

  • Gap Analysis & Sourcing Guide: Utilize data to identify gaps in our current assortment versus market demand. Collaborate with Business Development to build specific "wishlists" of items/merchants to onboard.

  • Technical Data Extraction: Leverage SQL and statistical programming (Python/R) to query large-scale datasets, automate data extraction, and flag high-potential trends without relying solely on manual reports.

  • Dashboarding & Reporting: Design and maintain user-friendly dashboards (PowerBI/Tableau) to visualize performance trends for senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Experimentation: Design and analyze A/B tests on campaign mechanics and landing page assortments to continuously optimize user click-through rates.

 

Qualifications

  • Relevant Experience: 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Commercial Analytics, or Strategy, preferably within E-commerce.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in SQL is a must; able to write complex queries to extract and structure data from data warehouses independently.

  • Statistical Knowledge: Fundamental knowledge of statistical programming languages (Python, R) to manipulate, clean, and draw insights from large, complex data sets.

  • Commercial Acumen: Proven ability to translate raw data into actionable business strategies (specifically regarding assortment planning and campaign mechanics).

  • Visualization Skills: Strong ability to create user-friendly dashboards and visualizations for stakeholders (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.).

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Capable of leading conversations in cross-functional teams to identify problems, collect requirements, and propose steps to resolve issues—both on a macro-level and a micro-level.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with and present findings to all levels of business stakeholders.
