We are adding to our current staff levels and have openings for four Processors at our Elk River Resource Processing Plant. The Processors operate mobile and heavy equipment to process municipal solid waste and provide mechanical and electrical support. The processors work a rotating shift that rotates on a five week rotation. Work days include Monday – Saturday days and Monday – Friday afternoons.
- Rotate through different jobs: control line, wheel loader, grapple crane, yard tractor, bulky waste shredder and compactor.
- Operate front-end loaders, forklifts and other equipment.
- Assist mechanics and electricians as requested which requires mechanical aptitude and general maintenance abilities.
- Proficient in the use of tools and equipment.
- Working knowledge of and ability to inspect and lubricate processing equipment.
- General cleaning of all plant equipment and facilities.
Work is indoors and outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather. This job requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb, work at heights and work with arms above head. The ability to kneel and squat on a frequent basis, along with occasional work in confined space areas. Must be able to use full face respirator and other personal protective equipment when required.
To qualify, candidates must have a two-year vocational or trade school degree or the equivalent in five years of directly related heavy industrial training or experience. The position requires a valid driver’s license and Minnesota State Class “C” driver’s license.
