The Greater Cleveland Food Bank’s mission is working together to ensure that everyone in our communities has the nutritious food they need every day. The Food Bank is the cornerstone of Northeast Ohio’s hunger relief efforts, serving as the link between members of the food industry that have excess food and over 600 local hunger programs. The Foodbank is the sole nonprofit provider of food to local nonprofit hunger centers in our six-county service area, distributing nonperishable food, fresh produce, perishable and frozen foods, and prepared meals.

The Food Bank was founded in 1979 when representatives from the food service industry partnered with local charities to find an efficient way to distribute surplus food that might otherwise go to waste.

Job Description

This position requires heavy in person customer contact with users that may have minimal computer experience.

This Agency Technology Specialist Implements, maintains, and supports technology/software solutions for our agency and programs network. Acts as liaison between internal IT Department and member agency and Programs network. Provides technology and software training to GCFB employees, member agencies, and programs. Assists Director of IT with Business Process Management reviews and implementation of technology/IT/software solutions to better support Food Bank operations. Acts as backup to the Network Applications Manager for ERP support and report writing.

Some and not all of the job duties include:

Maintain, Administer and Improve the Agency Services/Programs Web Portal.

Coordinate PantryTrak implementation and ongoing support for the Greater Cleveland Food Bank pantry programs.

Work with Mid-Ohio Foodbank to implement PantryTrak customization requests from Member Agencies and Programs.

Assess member agency technology needs and provide recommendations to Food Bank leadership

Coordinate training opportunities for member agencies to improve technical IQ.

Drive adoption of technology through Agency/Program education including, online videos, online testing, tutorials, knowledge bases, newsletters, testimonials and group forums.

Grow Agency Technology capabilities that correlate with Food Bank objectives, drive efficiencies and improve agency productivity.

Assist agencies with technology implementations.

Act as backup to the Network Applications Manager for Ceres/Navision Support, Troubleshooting and Report Writing

Maintain, Administer and Improve the Employee Web Portal, the Board Web Portal, and the Volunteer Web Portal.

Train internal staff on software applications and general technology literacy.

Work with Director of IT to schedule, document and moderate Business Process Review sessions. 

Assist Director of IT in implementing technology/software solutions derived from Business Process Reviews.

Coordinate the content of all Web portals and ensure that it is fresh and timely.

Identify opportunities to eliminate manual data collection process and implement digital data collection and distribution systems.



Qualifications

Bachelors degree in MIS or related field OR four or more years of Software/Systems analysis experience OR combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of web portal platforms (Wordpress and SharePoint preferred) required. Previous user training experience preferred. Previous experience in website administration/management. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Previous experience in Database Management.

Must possess strong attention to detail, and be able to multi task, operate in a team environment and be deadline oriented. Expert knowledge of web portal platforms. Basic website design experience. Experience creating training programs and videos preferred.
