Job Description

We are looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer Summer Intern to support our operations teams in analyzing, improving, and implementing efficient manufacturing processes. This internship provides hands-on experience in process optimization, problem-solving, and working with cross-functional teams to enhance production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to identify areas for process enhancements
  • Assist in designing, testing, and implementing process modifications or new production methods
  • Work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions
  • Support equipment layout optimization, workflow analysis, and process documentation
  • Participate in safety, quality, and productivity improvement projects
  • Document findings and present recommendations to engineering and leadership teams

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma (preferred, but not required)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information

Term: Monday May 4, 2026 to Friday August 28, 2026

Pay rate: $20 to $22.50 per hour
