Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist

SUMMARY:

Under moderate supervision, performs venipuncture and capillary puncture to obtain blood samples for various laboratory tests at the Medical Center and off-site facilities.
Patients served include Neonate thru Adult-Geriatric.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

To qualify for this position, the candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent;
previous phlebotomy experience preferred.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Computer skills preferred.
The ability to ensure the confidentiality and rights of all patient and departmental documents is required.
