WHAT YOU’LL DO
As Business Expert within Finance and Accounting, you will work in a cross-competence team, with a common goal to assure that the product development is in line with business needs and will help solving business problems and make ineffective processes more efficient.
You will contribute by sharing your accounting and business expertise within your product team but also with stakeholders in other H&M departments, always with the aim of supporting implementation of IT solutions, processes and way of working that are compliant with accounting regulations and principles as well as by finding and sharing best practice from accounting point of view.

Key Responsibilities
As a business expert you are accountable for making sure the processes bring value to the business. You are accountable for identifying needs for business processes or other changes in relation to end user and use best practices for automation capabilities and serve as business expert to others. In your day-to-day activities you drive the implementation of continuous improvement projects & initiatives working closely with AP operational teams.
You work closely with department manager, engineers, product designers and other stakeholders, focusing on pinpointing and prioritize wanted effects for the processes/products and how these can be realized to give business value.
You will support your Department Manager with identifying new product features based on business opportunities and by assessing feasibility and requirements. You will act as a partner to business teams and help them derive actionable insights and product requirements by applying your deep expertise in the area.

You should have the ability to:

Process & Business Expertise
- Develop a deep understanding of existing business processes using data and user insights to support decision-making and scaling.
- Translate business needs into actionable process changes and ensure compliance with legal and accounting standards.
- Communicate new process features based on business outcomes and assess feasibility and requirements.
Testing & Quality
- Define acceptance criteria and perform UAT for new features.
- Test efficacy of new product releases and features.
- Maintain and promote a culture of continuous quality improvement.
Continuous Improvement & Automation
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to implement process improvements and automation.
- Define the future automation roadmap for the AP department.
- Implement tools and process solutions to enhance efficiency.
Project Management & Governance
- Act as process and business expert during technology and tool implementation.
- Create clear plans with milestones and dependencies for improvement rollouts.
- Track progress, manage risks, and guide stakeholders for decision-making and project success.
Collaboration & Training
- Work closely with SSC operations to maintain technical functionalities.
- Educate and train staff and management on technologies and automation potential.
- Align stakeholders and ensure engagement and motivation among end users.
Documentation
- Create and maintain documentation for processes and solutions.
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
At H&M Group, you will be part of the Accounts Payable team within Global Accounting, as part of our Global Accounting Services. Our mission is to ensure quality and consistency across the function by guiding accounting teams and collaborating with key stakeholders. The team leads and develops global Accounts Payable processes and is accountable for driving efficient collaboration to enable optimized global support.
You are leading the daily operations in the designated Accounts Payable team by ensuring that assigned responsible areas are handled according to the AP processes in a timely manner. You develop and improve our way-of-working with AP processes and are responsible for enabling efficient collaboration to facilitate global support in an optimized manner.
WHO YOU ARE
We are looking for people with:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in financial systems or accounting processes (AP, AR, R2R, Stock, A2R).
- Experience implementing supportable solutions and driving process improvements.
- Experience working on projects and engaging with senior leadership.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of SAP ECC/HANA/or other ERP systems.
- Proficiency in data analytics and reporting.
- Strong knowledge with AI, RPA, and automation technologies.
- Solid understanding of accounting activities, including bookkeeping.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively. Fluent English, both orally and verbally is required.
