Details:

Candidate maintains Information Technology strategies; researching and implementing technological strategic solutions.

This position is responsible for management of projects, supervision of departmental staff members and recommendations to Management regarding IT policy, network infrastructure, hardware, and procedures.

This is a hands on position and would be having some level 4 engineer duties.

Duties:

• Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.

• Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.

• Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.

• Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; anticipating requirements.

• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• Set-up, deploy/configure/maintain and trouble shoot network infrastructure

• Provide end user support and training

• Supervisors Technical IT support staff

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' experience in network administration with Novell, Groupwise and Windows services; to include knowledge of TCP/IP, network security, backup, antivirus and anti-spam techniques

• Experience with Windows Servers and Windows workstations in a Windows domain experience with desktop management systems; such as Novell ZCM, Microsoft SCCM

• Minimum of five years' experience in coordination and implementation of computer and peripheral systems, to include planning, specifications development, purchasing, installation, training, trouble shooting, and repair

• In-depth knowledge of Novell/NetIQ/SuSE server, collaboration, and management technologies

• In-depth knowledge of a Windows servers including; Active Directory, Exchange, and Microsoft SQL Server

• In-depth knowledge of Linux servers, Linux server distributions technologies, and open source software technologies

• In-depth knowledge of VMware ESXi, vCenter and virtualization technologies

• In-depth knowledge of Oracle RAC

• Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment

• Ability to explain in laymen's terms the use of computer related technologies

• Advanced computer hardware and software knowledge and skills

• Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail

• Self-motivated and direct, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

• Supervisory experience
