Job Description

As a Senior Avaya Engineer, you are the key person responsible for installation, configuration and fault management in highly complex environments within a technology domain. Certification, both in vendor, technology and product is elevated to expert level. 

What we will expect you to do:

  • You will be required to demonstrate the ability to delegate lower complexity tasks to engineers and technicians.
  • You will have to provide quality assurance of engineers and technicians work
  • You will be responsible for providing third line telephonic, remote and on-site support and problem management
  • It is expected that you take leadership for relevant technologies according to domain or specialisation
  • We will ask you to mentor engineers and technicians
  • Own high complexity design work, with guidance to the design expected.
  • Act as a leader in required situations
  • You will have to interact and cooperate with vendor
  • You will be expected to manage assigned job processes as well as work and collaborate with others

Qualifications

Here’s what we are looking for in candidates for this job:

Key requirements:

  • Relevant Degree\Vendor Certification
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Minimum 5 Years’ experience deploying and supporting Avaya Aura Contact Center (AACC) and Avaya Contact Recorder (ACR)
  • Experience deploying and supporting Avaya Workforce Optimization beneficial
  • Strong knowledge of networking principles and understanding of SIP, H.323, TCP/IP, IP VLANs, Ethernet, Routing, Switching, DHCP, DNS and QoS

Key abilities required:

  • Excellent business and interpersonal skills are a must

  • You should have good project skills which will be demonstrated in the execution of complex installations and other assignments
  • You will be expected to display a good understanding of business principles
