We are currently looking for a regional Principal Services Architect – ITO (EU) to support our business in Europe in achieving its strategic objectives. What we will expect you to do:

As a Principal Services Architect - ITO, your key function will be to position the maintenance, support and operate services within Dimension Data’s existing and prospective clients. You will interact with international and/or global clients and apply an advanced level of service and market understanding to provide solutions of a high complexity. In this capacity, we need you to deliver on the following:

  • Participate in sales activities and strategic account planning for key clients and manages key client relationships.
  • Ensure the identification of potential opportunities in new and existing clients and act as “thought leader” in the engagement with clients
  • Lead in the analysis, scope of work determination and services pricing models of RFP/RFI’s.
  • Engage with clients to gather requirements and translate these into existing services within the Dimension Data offering or to build a specific value proposition for the client.
  • Map the required services to existing standard operational services to create a IT Outsource solution for the client using approved cost models.
  • Work with the IT Outsourcing pursuit team to define a roadmap and milestones for client engagement, including the transition planning and service delivery team involvement.
  • Evaluate each opportunity to ensure alignment with Dimension Data’s capabilities and business policy.
  • You will remain up to date on best practice and IT Outsourcing trends and shares this knowledge with regional and global team members.
  • You will contribute to the development of new products and services by working with clients to understand their requirements and with the various internal teams to consolidate the solution into proposals and of statements of work.
  • Partner with the Transition Management team to ensure an understanding of the client’s requirements and the service solution, supporting the development of a transition-in plan.
  • You will be required to design the technical proof of concept and contribute to the pre-sales process, providing the relevant information for client proposals.

As a regional resource you will lead IT Outsourcing pursuit for complex opportunities in Europe across UK, Germany, France and Benelux predominantly. Furthermore you will be a practice leader for all IT Outsourcing Services Architects across Europe. This will include driving Services Architecture standards and ways of working / best practices in order to engage clients consistently and in conjunction with all parties involved in the client pursuit. 

As part of the key objectives:

  • Drive European Services Architects toward a systematic and early client engagement: understand the client business needs and expected outcome; develop complex value propositions; build Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis and non-solicited proposals in order to position dimension data differentiators at CxO level.
  • Drive the adoption of new tools and methodologies assisting Services Architects in the design of complex IT Outsourcing solutions and transition planning with the view of mitigating the risk of dimension data.
  • Be the expert advisor for Services Architects across Europe by bringing your IT Outsourcing expertise and the view of dimension data global capabilities.
  • Be part of the European governance process by reviewing and validating solutions positioned to clients across the region.

Qualifications

  • At least 12 years' experience in services within a large scale (preferably mutli- national) technology services environment across a range of services.
  • Tertiary qualification preferable (Technical or Business)
  • ITIL foundations certification
  • Extensive experience in an ITO and service delivery environment including technical and service management exposure.
  • Knowledge and understanding of IT industry environment and business needs
  • Required to have a working knowledge of ITIL with preference to executing in the environment
  • Track record of effective project management
  • A broad understanding of the vast range of IT operations and DD service offerings
  • Demonstrated experience working with cost modelling

  • A working knowledge of ITIL functions
  • Knowledgeable of the Dimension Data services offering.

  • Interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to develop strong client relationships
  • Comfortable with communicating solutions to clients at a business and technical level
  • Excellent client service orientation
