We are currently looking for a Senior Services Architect – ITO to support the business in achieving its strategic objectives.

What we will expect you to do:

As a Senior Services Architect - ITO, your key function will be to position the maintenance, support and operate services within Dimension Data’s existing and prospective clients. You will take responsibility for the development of the complete technical and operational solution to be contracted by an ITO, multi-sourcing or cloud services client. 

You will develop a thorough understanding of the client’s business needs and technology strategy and use this to define and build a managed service that aligns with the client’s business and technology objectives. In this capacity you will be required to deliver on the following:

  • Serve as a key leader in maturing and progressing complex solutions or services related to the Dimension Data region market strategy.
  • Participate or lead in the analysis, scope of work determination and services pricing models of RFP/RFI’s.
  • Engage with clients to gather requirements and translate these into existing services within the Dimension Data offering or to build a specific value proposition for the client.
  • Assist the sales organization by contributing to the development and selection of optimal services solutions to meet ongoing client needs that are in line with industry best practice and standards.
  • Contribute to the design of solutions for the client that will be commercially competitive whilst managing risk.
  • Evaluate each opportunity to ensure alignment with Dimension Data’s capabilities and business policy.
  • Assist in the decision to pursue or abort a deal.
  • Implement the solution development framework and practices, assigns and manages the resources needed to design, assemble and implement the service or solution.
  • Partner with the Transition Management team to ensure an understanding of the client’s requirements and the service solution, supporting the development of a transition-in plan.
  • You will be required to design the technical proof of concept and contribute to the pre-sales process, providing the relevant information for client proposals.

  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Degree in Technical or Sales field
  • At least 10 years’ experience in the IT industry with enterprise technology (communications, network, datacentre virtualisation, unified communications, enterprise mobility and managed services)
  • Proven track record of in-depth technical experience within outsourced insfrastructure and/or network technology solutions and services
  • Track record of consultative selling and wider solution design, competency and business acumen to assess and qualify opportunities
  • Proven delivery of complex pragmatic solutions design within industry
  • ITIL foundations certification
  • Demonstrated strong vendor relationship to ensure an understanding of the vendor’s products business and services positioning
