Job Description

The Security Consultant will provide technical leadership as well subject matter expertise with regards to the formulation of Information and Cyber Security solution designs. Solutions have the purpose of protecting, monitoring for threats and managing customer’s Security environments so as to ensure the confidentiality, availability and integrity of the customer’s information assets. The role has a strong focus both on technical and infrastructure solution consulting and design but also on the frameworks of Risk Governance and Compliance. The delivery of services related to Policy definition and creation, assessments services against defined frameworks, business requirement assessment against existing architecture, such as for PCI, for the purposes of proposing roadmaps and solutions is a key function. The Consultant will formulate designs and recommendations that comply with the customer’s security requirements, accepted industry standards and certifications and are aligned with appointed Vendor and the Dimension Data offerings. The Consultant engages clients with medium to complex information security technology environments and is responsible for the lifecycle of an engagement by conducting assessments, formulating solutions, providing input into proposals, securing business and providing a governance role with regards to the project implementation of the agreed solution. Our Client has a strong focus on the delivery of centrally delivered and managed services, MSP models and Outsourced Security offerings with an increased focus on the sale of Managed Solutions and Security As A Service offerings.

Our Clients roadmap across its business is to deliver Platforms, Cloud Services and transformed manners of providing solutions to customers. The Consultant is required to be an expert at designing holistic IT Security architectures and solutions taking the go-to market of the broader business and the customer environment into consideration. They will be required to apply their knowledge of existing relevant Security architectural frameworks and knowledge and use frameworks such as SABSA, TOGAF, ITIL or COBIT for solution formulation. The ability to span the domains of Business, Application, Data, Technical and Network Architectures and Security Architectures will be required.

What we will expect you to do:

  • Provide consulting services to the customer with regards to Business’s solutions to Security requirements
  • Deliver Architectural Assessments of Customer’s environments within the frameworks provided with the purpose of identifying deficiencies, generating roadmaps, proposing solutions and driving the sale thereof
  • In all respects own the Security Trusted Advisory status of customers in conjunction with the delegated Client or Account Manager and Service teams
  • Understand and articulate the business value that the Clients Security solutions provide
  • Build and managing key relationships internally and externally to allow for the successful execution of the Clients technology and business strategies 
  • Play an integral role in achieving business financial objectives and client satisfaction ratings
  • Support the Senior and Principal consultants in researching emerging enterprise architecture solutions and the best practices associated with them and in so doing informing the overall strategy of the Security business unit.
  • Take a leadership role with regards to the delivery of Assessment Services and work closely with the Global and MEA leadership entities

Here’s what we are looking for in candidates for this job:

Key Requirements:

  • Be a Subject matter expert and provide input into the completion of proposals and tenders 
  • Ability to deliver client presentations at all levels of the engagement lifecycle
  • Ability to work individually and with BDMs, Sales Teams, Account Managers and Consultants in other areas of the business to drive Security sales 
  • Ability to design Security Architectures and solutions according to the Security product offerings formulating solutions utilising both products and services
  • Ability to deliver specific Security GRC Consultancy engagements and assessments
  • Maintain appropriate vendor and industry certifications
  • Ability to execute a strongly focussed Consultancy Lead Sales role and participate in all aspects of the sales process to ensure revenue generation

Key abilities required:

  • Good communication, presentation and writing skills
  • Relevant Degree or Diploma
  • Certification in relevant Industry standards and frameworks (ISO 2700x, COBIT etc.)
  • Technical qualification an asset e.g. MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, CCSP etc.
  • Security Industry Qualification e.g. CISSP (ISSAP Advantages), SABSA, ITIL, TOGAF(advantages)
  • 4 to 5 Years of experience in a Service Provider environment
  • A focus and primary interest in applying knowledge and capability so as to support a Consultancy Lead Sales engagement across multiple customer environments
