Job Description

  • Taking patient medical history and vitals,
  • Preparing patients for examination,
  • Giving vaccines/injections,
  • Blood draw,
  • Perform EKG (preferred),
  • Printing test reports from a computer,
  • Working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Filing patient charts,
  • managing front desk,
  • Scheduling appointments on a computer,
  • Emailing,
  • Verifying and collecting insurance information and copays on payor portals
  • Collect deductibles/copays using credit card.
  • Calling patients on the phone.

Qualifications

  • MA Certificate + Minimum of 2 years working with a reputed hospital or practice as a Medical Assistant

 

  • Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, be a team player, phlebotomy experience, strong patient focus, internet, email, computer and telephone handling skills.

  • Must be able to drive and reach the office at 8:00 am on workdays irrespective of weather and traffic conditions.  Please be aware of your commute to Northbrook, IL . Please be sure youcan commit to reach the office at 8:00am before you apply.

  • Position requires working late upto 7PM at least 2 days a week, and requires working alternate Saturday mornings.
