Job Description

THIS POSITION CAN BE HELD FULL TIME OR PART TIME IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS: Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Boston

The Director of Sales & Business Development will drive sales across Her Campus's college marketing programs to large-scale global and national brands, portfolios, and media agencies. Reporting into the Senior Director of Sales, this position will oversee revenue with the largest leading global brands and portfolios while having the opportunity to grow into managing a team of Managers and/or Senior Managers responsible for a team goal. Global brand clients, a creative and nimble work culture, a lucrative commission structure and sky's-the-limit potential make this an ideal opportunity for a passionate, experienced, talented, hungry self-starter captivated by the opportunity to help build the next future digital media giant. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Achieve individual and team sales and activity goals set forth by Company President & VP of Sales, prorated over year one

  • Day-to-day, oversee, manage, and support a team 1-2+ Managers/Senior Managers of Sales & Business Development in achieving their revenue goals

  • Day-to-day, source, develop and close individual sales large-scale marketing programs with prospect list including digital media, content, social, influencer, experiential, on-campus, and research

  • Collaborate with cross-department teams including integrated marketing, account management, branded content, influencer marketing, sales planning, and more to build strong marketing proposals, and eventually support running exceptional marketing campaigns once deals are won

  • Nurture relationships with existing clients to generate returning business and manage relationships strategically for maximum impact

Additionally, as part of the final round, the candidate will be invited to a live virtual mock pitch where they will present their communication skills to the Client Services Leadership Team (VP and Directors across Sales, Sales Planning, and Integrated Marketing).
