Home Instead is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Care Assistant to join our team in Hall Green, Birmingham. As a Community Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enriching the lives of our clients by providing personalized care and support in their own homes.

• Offer meaningful companionship and emotional support to clients
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
• Provide non-medical personal care tailored to each client's specific needs
• Ensure client safety and well-being during visits
• Engage clients in activities that promote their physical and mental well-being
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
• Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the care team
• Document and report any changes in client condition or concerns
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety guidelines
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities

• Reliable, trustworthy, and respectful demeanor
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build professional relationships
• Comfortable spending extended periods of time in the company of others
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
• Physical stamina to assist clients with daily activities
• Basic understanding of health and safety practices in a care setting
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required)
• Previous caregiving experience is a plus, but not necessary – we provide comprehensive training
