Job Description
Human Resources duties:
- Advise managers on discipline and termination procedures.
- Ensure company is compliant with all federal, state and local employment laws.
- Benefit plan design.
- Oversee employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, life, disability insurance and 401k.
- Conduct and direct new employee orientation process.
- Prepare and process employee personnel records.
- Enroll new employees in benefit plans and provide benefits orientation.
- Assist with the recruitment process.
- Create and maintain current job descriptions for all employees.
- Execute, manage and administer company programs and training.
- Update current Employee Handbook.
- Maintains safety files and records.
- Coordinate random drug and alcohol testing.
- Injury/Accident claim reporting to insurance company.
- Update OSHA logs with injuries or incidents.
- Maintain ISNet website with updates.
- Schedule medical monitoring exams for employees.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Business, Human Resources or equivalent degree.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources.
- PHR preferred.
- Prior experience developing and administering human resources policies, program and services, including legal compliance, employee benefits, employee relations, employment practices and procedures.
- Assists with talent acquisition.
- Administers elements of the company’s safety program in order to maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with client requirements.
- Able to strategically and tactically evaluate and implement HR and Safety related programs and initiatives.
- Able to work with a variety of organizational leadership to build consensus around HR and Safety strategies and tactics.
- Proven ability to attract and retain outstanding talent and assemble and motivate high performance teams.
- Superior organizational skills are necessary.
- Travel as appropriate.
