Job Description

Our Client based out of Davenport, FL is seeking a Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician to work part-time (<30 hrs week) in their Pharmacy. State of the art care, the top notch medical staff, and the most dedicated support staff behind you will give you the ability to provide patient care in a rewarding environment.

Under the direction of the license Pharmacist, this individual will be responsible for receiving and filling prescription requests for patients. These prescription requests can come from hospitals, physicians, nurses or directly from the patient.

Duties include:

  • Counting, pouring, measuring and weighing tablets and medications.
  • Mixing medications, selecting the proper prescription container, and creating prescription labels.
  • Assist in the daily operation of the pharmacy itself, including interactions with hospitals and patients. 
  • Prepare insurance claim forms.
  • Maintain patient profiles and confidentiality.
  • Complete cash register transactions.
  • Answer phones and provide excellent customer service.
  • Take inventory of over-the-counter medications.
  • Stay aware of the latest medicines and their availability.


  • 1 - 2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience in a retail setting.
  • Active Florida Pharmacy Technician registration (RPT) is required.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectivrly both verbaly and in writing. 
  • Ability to stay on task and work independently. 
  • High standards of professionalism and integrity. 
  • Knowledge and experience with RX30 Pharmacy software.
  • Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screen. 
  • Valid Florida driver's license with an insurable driving record.
