Job Description

Hypenica is looking for a highly motivated Conference Producer / Content Producer to join a growing and passionate team.

The candidate will be responsible for the content for existing and new events for the African construction and infrastructure sectors.

This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated individual wanting to work in exciting vertical domains, on world-class products, with a fantastic team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Drive direction of content and themes for conference programmes.

  • Develop event themes, value proposition and USPs for each event and ensure product team are au fait with these.

  • Liaise with and build relationships with key stakeholders in the industry.

Job outline:

Programme development

  • Market research – analyse industry based on research and develop into a commercial saleable conference programme.

  • From market research, select, invite and secure high level speakers to cover all the key topics.

  • Research and write the content of conference programmes in a variety of sectors.

Project management

  • Manage a project plan and adhere to deadlines.

  • Run the conference onsite; support and co-orindate VIPs and speakers.

  • Provide post conference reports, and analysis.

Sales and marketing

  • Work closely with the Marketing team to ensure effective marketing of events.

  • From market research, provide copy for all promotional literature including the conference programme, website homepage and all electronic promotional campaigns.

Qualifications

Skills / Experience

  • Previous experience in a commercial conference company advantageous but not essential. Experience in a media content environment will be considered. (12 months +)
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Interest in local and international business news.
  • Excellent general knowledge.
  • Ability to travel locally and internationally.
  • Ability to write: copy for websites and brochures and communications to speakers. 
  • Attention to detail and logical thinking
  • Strong telephone communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Spoken and written French advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a commercial conference company advantageous but not essential. Experience in a media content environment will be considered. (12 months +)
