Job Description

Hypenica is looking for a highly motivated  marketing manager to join a growing and passionate team.

 

Working on varied and complex media products that include small and large scale conferences and exhibitions, online portals and media sites, you will work with a team of conference producers, sales managers, video journalists, editors and a range of external partners and suppliers. You will have complete responsibility for creating and executing marketing plans that combine direct mail, email, internet, social and integrated marketing.

 

This is a varied and exciting role for the right candidate. To succeed in this position you will need experience in above/below and online and offline marketing (preferably media / events sector), excellent communication skills, the ability to meet deadlines and an enthusiastic pro-active attitude. We’re looking for someone who is ready to hit the ground running and make their mark on all of our marketing campaigns. The position reports directly to the Marketing Director.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating, scheduling and implementing of marketing plans and campaigns to ensure that financial and non-financial KPIs are met.
  • Managing and adhering to marketing budget, achieving ROI / financial KPIs per project.
  • Creating and managing PR, email and social media campaigns.
  • Working closely with the content teams to ensure that all copy for all marketing communications is appropriate; direct mail, web, email campaigns and social media.
  • Working with designers to create brands for each product and produce brochures, adverts and banners.
  • Building relationships with external stakeholders to support marketing efforts.
  • Managing external and internal suppliers for printing and mailing of collateral, creative and PR.

Qualifications

Skills / Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification 
  • Proven experience in managing a  database/ CRM system  (SalesForce or ZoHo experience preferable but not a prerequisite)
  • Proven ability to manage direct marketing campaigns
  • Initiative, enthusiasm, commitment to the role, and pro-activity.
  • Exceptional sales and negotiation skills.
  • Sound commercial and business acumen.
  • Ability to work on your own as well as well as in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication.
  • Planning and organising skills. 
  • Ability to work well under high pressure situations.
