Where will you be working? Our San Diego office is recruiting an intern to fill a position in the transportation engineering practice. Check out a short description of the position and qualification requirements below.

 

Responsibilities:

Depending on the position within IBI, the intern could be involved in specific duties, including but not limited to the following:

  • Conduct traffic operations analysis and modelling;
  • Develop functional requirements/specifications and procurement process documents;
  • Evaluate vendor proposals and design documentation;
  • Document and test software systems;
  • Document and verify field conditions;
  • Design field equipment sites and associated communications;
  • Prepare schedules and cost estimates;
  • Field inspections and acceptance testing, including advance review of proposed test procedures; and
  • Support of business development and proposal initiatives.

 

Qualifications

  • Candidates must be enrolled in either a Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering program.
  • Candidates must have demonstrable above average oral and written communications skills
  • Strong interest in transportation and civil engineering
  • Candidates must have a valid drivers license.
