Business Development Assistant


POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Development (BD) Assistant is an entry level position and provides administrative support to the Business Development Department with guidance from the Office Manager and supports IBS in all day to day operations. The Business Development Assistant is the lead administrator for Business Development and Marketing for internal co-workers and external clients.  


RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES & TASKS


Responsibilities


  • Record and collect Salesforce data for use by internal co-workers and external clients, including control of Salesforce data integrity

  • Compile reports as outlined by Director of Business Development ensuring deadlines are met

  • Gather and research information to produce market intelligence reports, using the internet, industry publications, government statistics, clients, co-workers, etc.

  • Maintain BD collaboration sites

  • Assist in BD proposal development

  • Produce weekly key performance indicators (KPI’s) for the Business Development Department and Managing Director

 

  • Prepare meeting minutes, including action items and follow-up

  • Responsible for document control and administration Support to the Business Development Department.

 

  • Participate in the documentation of all internal procedures and processes in order to develop and maintain an operations manual for IBS

  • Participate and assist in estimating proposal development as directed by Project Services Department

  • Train and provide technical support for new and existing employees and clients on software including Google Docs as required

  • Monitor and maintain compliance in the use of all the firms systems, Google Apps, Salesforce, & Harvest

 

  • Act as backup for Project Administrator and Estimating Administrator.

 

  • Perform internal administrative duties as assigned by the Senior Business Development Manager.

  • Manage the administrative duties such as cleaning the kitchen, cleaning boardroom,ensuring printing area remains tidy ordering supplies and answering phones

  • From time to time, perform other duties consistent with the purpose of the firms business

  • Undergraduate degree or technical diploma in business or engineering, or

  • Combination of education and relevant experience

 

Experience

 

  • Minimum 3 years experience in an Assistant or Administrative role

Additional Information

Some travel may be required.
