Job Description

The purpose of the Server Administrator position will be to provide Microsoft Windows Servers support, Windows Domain and backup systems. Additionally, the purpose of this position is to install and maintain operating systems and related software to ensure stable performance; to evaluate system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility; and to troubleshoot networking and operating system problems. Perform tier two and three problem identification and resolution, performance monitoring and improvements as well as configuration enhancements to ensure system infrastructure stability for all Windows systems on-site. Create and maintain standard operating procedure documentation for systems' processes. After hours support is required for rotational on-call, patching/upgrades, change requirements and problem/incident alerts for all related system applications and interfaces. Configure and install all new hardware and software related to Windows and secondarily to Window OS and network devices according to system and security established standards. Maintain technical documentation. To participate and provide subject matter expertise for IT projects that require Infrastructure involvement, participate in IT disaster recovery documentation, testing and review, and to work closely with Information Security on security policies and standards.

Qualifications

Expert knowledge of: Windows server hardware installation, support and troubleshooting, Windows operating systems, Enterprise design and operating system. Server security hardening in Windows, working knowledge SAN storage; networking methodologies and principles. Computer operations standards, security, equipment and software. Expert skills in: Written and verbal communications, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
