Job Description
Position Summary:
IDEO.org is seeking a Program Coordinator to join our soon-to-be-launched office in New York City. As part of a dynamic and multi-disciplinary design team, you’ll provide administrative and operational support to the Amplify program. You love working in a fast-paced start-up environment and are adept at wearing many hats at any given moment. You’re a quick learner, enthusiastic, detail-oriented and collaborative—ready to roll up your sleeves and join a team that’s helping to bring human-centered design to some of the world’s toughest challenges.
You will:
- Manage day-to-day coordination and logistics for the Amplify program.
- Provide administrative support for the team, including organizing travel, scheduling meetings, processing invoices and tracking expenses.
- Assist with programmatic milestones and deliverables, including grant reporting, challenge outreach, and selection of winners.
- Coordinate logistics for Amplify-related events, convenings, and team offsites.
- Manage incoming correspondence, answer questions and route requests appropriately.
- Create and maintain internal systems that allow the team to work efficiently and share knowledge.
- Collaborate with the IDEO.org community to bridge and develop org-wide systems and processes.
Qualifications
You are:
- A self-starter with a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of work experience.
- A time and project management guru, capable of balancing multiple priorities at once.
- A clear and direct communicator, especially in writing.
- Passionate about human-centered design and/or international development.
