We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer/Senior Software Engineer to join our R&D Finance team in Colombo, Sri Lanka. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining cutting-edge financial software solutions that drive our company's success in the rapidly evolving fintech landscape.

• Design, develop, and implement high-quality, scalable software solutions for financial applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to best practices and coding standards
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing software applications
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development and finance
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and methodologies
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge within the team

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in software development for Senior Software Engineer role
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++
• Experience with financial software development or in the fintech industry
• Solid understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
• Proficiency in version control systems, preferably Git
• Strong knowledge of database systems and SQL
• Oracle PL/SQL knowledge will be a definite advantage
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Familiarity with financial systems, processes, and regulatory requirements
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
