Job Description

We have an immediate opening for an Audio Visual Systems Designer to join our Southeast Michigan office.  Ideal candidates will include those in the audio/visual, information technology or electronics fields. We seek individuals with technical aptitude and great attitude. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create audio-visual systems for board rooms, conference rooms, training centers, command and control rooms, immersive systems (VR), advanced visualization collaboration spaces and more based on an analysis of customers’ needs
  • Create detailed drawings and proposals using D-Tools
  • Support sales opportunities by providing technical expertise and performing site surveys
  • Majority of work in design, with ability to assist on installations beneficial
  • Interest in control system programming encouraged (will train)

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of 5-year design experience within the commercial audio/visual industry
  • Extensive knowledge of audio, video, and control systems as well as architectural and cabling requirements
  • Knowledgeable with Crestron and AMX (programming experience beneficial)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Viso and D-tools a plus)
  • CTS certification is a plus (CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as professional appearance
  • Valid driving license and clean driving record
  • College degree related to the position preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Ideally located in southeast Michigan

Applicants may be required to go through a background check and a pre-employment drug screening. Because we perform installations at classified and secret level government facilities, candidates must be able to pass a government background check.
