We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with 4-5 years of hands-on expertise in open-source monitoring solutions like Zabbix or Nagios to join our innovative team. What You'll Do:

• Design, deploy, and maintain Zabbix infrastructure including servers, proxies, agents, and databases.
• Develop & optimize templates, triggers, and alerts to ensure comprehensive monitoring of infrastructure, applications, and services.
• Perform upgrades, migrations, and scaling of Zabbix infrastructure to meet growing business needs.
• Create robust monitoring frameworks and integration solutions (e.g., ELK, Grafana) to ensure operational excellence.
• Develop custom scripts, plugins, or modules to extend Zabbix's capabilities and automate monitoring processes using API and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
• Implement proactive alerting mechanisms for early issue detection and resolution.
• Work closely with various teams within Group Technology to diagnose and resolve incidents swiftly.
• Continuously analyze and improve the performance and scalability of Zabbix and other monitoring solutions.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for monitoring configurations, troubleshooting, and best practices.
• Provide training to team members on Zabbix usage and interpreting monitoring data effectively.

Key Competencies:

• Expertise with Zabbix API and integrations with third-party tools.
• Proven experience in creating and optimizing templates, triggers, and custom monitoring items.
• Strong knowledge of open-source systems and network protocols.
• Experience with cloud platforms, containerization (Docker / Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Qualifications:

• 4-5 years of experience working with monitoring solutions like Zabbix or Nagios in enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with other monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, ELK Stack).
• Experience with open-source database clustering, performance monitoring, and optimization.
• Certifications in Zabbix, cloud platforms, or monitoring tools are a plus.
• Experience in large-scale, distributed monitoring environments.
• ITIL Foundation certification is a bonus.
